FAQs
Does the estimate support the CSI standard cost codes?
RedTeam Flex supports any set of cost codes that your company chooses to configure. This can be standard CSI codes or custom cost codes. The cost codes that can be selected in the estimate can be set in step 2 of the project setup flow under "Preferences". Your System Administrator has access to manage this list.
Note: When creating the cost estimate, your team can select which cost codes will be used for the project. The cost code descriptions can be altered to better fit the project requirements (this is known as Project Cost Codes).
What markups are supported on the estimate?
On Fixed Price Proposals, your estimate may be marked up with the standard Indirect Cost Rates configured for your company (Configuration menu > Cost Types and Allocation Rates). For Construction Management and Time and Material Proposals, you can update those same rates by cost type. Additional "Supplemental Markups" can be added if your company has any configured (Configuration menu > Supplemental Markups).

New bid packages in RedTeam Flex
Now you can create bid packages combining multiple cost codes. Vendors submit their quote for the package, rather than for each cost code, one by one. Saving you and your vendors time when bidding for the work.
Advanced bid leveling functionality
Once multiple quotes are received for a particular bid package, you can view the quotes side by side in a high level of detail. Navigate through each vendor's pricing by cost code and determine if bids exclude any items. Bid packages can be broken up and awarded to multiple vendors if necessary.

The updated vendor quote process helps streamline back-office operations to increase efficiencies and reduce risk during preconstruction and when managing change requests.

FAQs
Can I add the same cost code to multiple bid packages?
Yes, you can include cost codes on multiple bid packages. Please be aware that this will affect the process for selecting a "best" quote. If a vendor is selected in one bid package, then those cost code items become unavailable to select as "Best" in another bid package.
Can I add cost codes that aren't in the estimate to my bid package?
Yes, adding cost codes that aren't already in the estimate to a bid package will also update your estimate automatically.
Can I select multiple vendors as "Best" in the same bid package?
Yes, you may have vendors who have the "Best" quote for only some of the cost codes and items in a bid package and vendors who have the "Best" quote for other cost codes and items.
